Welcome to Monday Moodboard! This week we are delighted to welcome Kellie who has joined us for one-week work experience from Coláiste na Carraige. She has a keen interest in interior design. She has chosen an image via Pinterest and is recreating the look for us today. Check it out below.
“I chose this image as I liked the colour palette and shape of the bed frame. I love the textures used in the bedding. The throw adds a nice cosy feeling to the fresh duvet set. The scatter cushions can be changed depending on the colour scheme in the room. The neutral paint and furniture are simple, and the accent colour – Ochre can easily be changed making it budget friendly. The throw, cushions and pictures with the ochre colour can easily be switched out for a forest green. The rug adds a warmth to the room particularly if there is a wooden floor.”
If I was to design this room myself, I would change the light fitting as I feel it is not in keeping with the simple style in the bedroom. I would also choose to paint a lighter shade on the wall which would make the room feel slightly bigger. I think this is a timeless bedroom which would suit a guest room.
I have recreated the look with items available in Stockhouse Interiors based on the image I picked.”
Huge thanks to Kellie, we love this look!
